For now I am just going to give a current update. I hope to go back later and tell more of the story, but lets get to the good news. First and foremost, we are certain Beau is in the Lord's hands. We do not doubt that this is part of His plan and even though we may not understand and it may be really really stressful, we know God is in control and our little boy is going to be okay! So, Praise the Lord!
Today Dr. Malik raised Beau's feedings to 35ml and he is tolerating them well. He weight is 4lb5oz (birth weight was 4lb6oz). He is in an incubator but still breathing great on his own and the jaundice is gone. They took him off fluids today and he is solely nourished by the milk I make. He looks great and we are very pleased.
We are now just waiting for him to learn to eat off me or the bottle and that could take a while. That would be our main prayer request, that he would latch on and eat! Also he has to be able to maintain his body temp before we can take him home, but that will come with the weight gain
