September

I am never really sure what this blog is about. Me? The boys? Jesus? North Dakota? Outfit concoctions? The cool wreath I just made or perhaps the cake stand I made? I suppose it is whatever life is about at the time. I suppose it is everything, just life.

I figure I should talk a bit about pregnancy. I keep a journal but it is more like a prayer journal and I have regretted that while I was pregnant with Baker and Beau there are no recordings of my thoughts. Even when a bit of drama had started right before Beau was born, I failed to mention it.....how, I have no idea. Probably b/c an early birth was the last thing on my mind. Well, things are different now.

I am 27 weeks along and doing very well. Earlier on my placenta was low lying but it has moved up completley away so there is no sign of placenta previa like the doctor had mentioned earlier. My baby is measuring large, 11days ahead of the due date, however I don't have gestational diabetes (Praise the Lord) so its just a big baby b/c it is. Anyways, I am just very pleased that we have made it thus far with no complications. No contractions, no bleeding, no bed rest..... just normalcy. There was much debate in our home for quite a while on whether or not to have a 3rd child. Since Beau was 8 weeks early we didn't know if it was worth the risk since perhaps there was something majorly wrong with me. We obviously decided it was worth a shot but that doesn't mean it isn't scary, we still have a ways to go. I know a ton of people have been praying for me. Random people. I have pretty much asked everyone I know to pray that this baby is full term. In the beginning I don't think I believed it could be, but since things have carried on without any drama I am starting to gain hope. Now, I am just praying for another smooth VBAC delivery, which the doctor has authorized me to go for.

I am trying to embrace the baby's kicks and the round size of my belly. It is very weird to think that I have only (at the absolute most) 3 months with another life inside of me. It truly is a miracle you know? Not all would agree, but I think women are made to have children and you almost get used to it... you know? For me, this is what I do. This is what I have been doing for 3 YEARS!!! And in 3 months (Lord willing) it will all be over for good. No more havin' babies. So, I am just trying to rest, not push myself and soak it in.

I am going to step out and say that life is better than it has ever been in North Dakota. We are in a good place. The leaves are changing but some days still feel like summer. Brian is spending time in the woods in search of a deer which makes him very happy. We are leading Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University at church. This is probably the most passionate area of my life. I have tried to tame it since being here but it still flares up in me. It is a very big privilege for me to spread this message to people's lives and hope it changes them like it did me.... if they need it. Brian and I are both growing in the Word, which is not something I can always say. There are def stagnant times. People in our church have played a huge role in this and we are grateful. It's the weirdest thing... when we leave town, everyone welcomes us back. Seriously, this may sound weird to you, but they notice when we are gone. Lots of people. I told Brian.... I think these people do like us. I was shocked by how many people asked about our latest trip. It is good to be in a small town. This I know.

We just celebrated Brian's birthday. It is amazing to me the amount of success he has had in his career at such a young age. It is mind boggling. The Lord has been very good to us. The boys are super fun right now. They had a blast preparing for Brian's birthday "party". As soon as he pulled up Baker was screaming "we made you a cake daddy, we made you a cake." Beau kept saying "happy dada, happy dada." These are the good times.

And on the best note of the entire blog BEAU IS POTTY TRAINED!!!! AND HE DID IT HIMSELF. Thank you Jesus. When people ask me about potty training I just say- "its the worst thing I have ever done", and I believe that to be mostly true. It was awful the first time. You are the one being trained, but not with Beau- he just tells you and then he goes. My mother-in-law had a dream that Beau potty trained himself and that I had a girl. We are half way there and I didn't have to do any work this time! I should give major props to Baker since "being like Bubba" for Beau is the ultimate goal each day. We have had 3 days now with ZERO accidents. I don't know how long it took with Baker to go 3 days with no accidents. Seriously..... probably months. I can't tell you how grateful we are.

Thanks for reading and praying. Please continue to pray. I am due to get another niece in about a month, pray for Sasha too. Hope you enjoyed!
