Easter Weekend

Well, here are some pics from our Easter weekend. Brian had Good Friday off which was so nice. Our new thing is playing tennis at the gym, which we did on Friday. Baker loves tennis and he is probably as good as I am . Beau doesn't really care for it so we have to take a basketball for him. Friday was so nice just running around town together and enjoying a lunch out.

Then on Saturday we went to our friends farm in Beach, ND. We did this last year and had a great time again this year. We play outside, shoot guns, dye eggs, hunt eggs, and eat REALLY GOOD FOOD. The company is great too. Its not so easy to have great company. This family is game players so they are people after my own heart. Playing games with Brian is one of my favorite things (except when he plays with my family he usually always looses quickly- which isn't fun). Needless to say, it was a great day. The boys both loved dying eggs. I was surprised.

Then on Sunday we went to the Easter breakfast at our church. Then we had to work the nursery so we didn't actually hear an Easter message which was sad, but someone's gotta do the dirty work. Then, we had our friends Stu and Jennie over for Easter lunch. They were our first friends in town and it was nice to get together with them.

I of course thought they boys looked super handsome in their Easter outfits. If you hadn't noticed, I got my hair cut. I was tired of it long so we went for the brave change. Its been a rough transition b/c it didn't turn out how I had imagined it- but what am I gonna do now? It can't get any shorter. Plus, Brian really likes it and I can't believe how nice it is to not have to deal with the long locks.

At this moment we are playing outside. Praise the Lord that our wireless works in the backyard. Anyhow, the boys are having a pool party. The temperature gage says it is only 59 degrees but to them it must feel like 75. Its cute to watch. They are good boys.

Other than that, we are just excited to go to Weatherford in 3 weeks for my sister's graduation. It will be a short trip, but we really need it.

Saturday Nights

We have always been big on Saturday nights. I loved them as a teenager and we have loved them as a couple. These are the friends we had over on Saturday night. People we are truely comfortable with and ourselves around. The first is Kylie- they are our neighbors with boys the same ages as ours. Then there is Amanda. She might be the sweetest person I have ever met. Both ladies are expecting.
Which brings me to mention that 3 friends of mine have had babies in the last 24hrs. How exciting. I don't think I will ever be bored with the arrival of new life. Pretty amazing every time.

Also, you can see what Beau's Saturday night get-up was. He was proud to wear the mustache his daddy gave him. It was quiet cute.

Also, there is my Sunday morning outfit. Brian did like this one but I had Baker take the pic. Just a blue dress from Leah, but the jacket is new from H&M and its pretty certain to be my new staple, since it is still chilly here. Well, at the moment the earth is blanketed in snow again, but that is okay.

I decided what I need is more Holy Spirit. I need the fruit of the spirit basically, but to get the fruit I am pretty sure you need the spirit first, and if you ask my husband- I am lacking in fruit. So, here's to not relying on my own. We are reading Francis Chan's "The Forgotten God". Probably where my realizations are coming from.

Next you can pray for some Easter plans for us. Everyone we know is going to be with family or out of town and I am just not sure what we are going to do. I just don't want to be alone!!! Its easier not to miss your family too much when you aren't alone.

New Day

Well, I apologize if my last blog was too harsh. I do live here and I need to try to make it home. The Lord has brought several people to me in the last 24hrs to show me that- yes, there are people here that I can love and even like. We will survive. Sorry

Sunny Days

Well, things are better. Normal I would say. We spent a week in CA/Las Vegas and I suppose that was enough refreshment and serotonin to keep us going. The snow is all gone, PRAISE THE LORD, and it is a bit warmer. We have had maybe 3 days where the skies were blue and the sun did shine. I don't think I will ever take that for granted again.
