Craft weekend

So it has been a craft weekend for me, AKA Father's day weekend Lol. As is
custom, Brian gets to choose how to spend his weekend and this year it meant an overnight fishing trip. Woo hoo! So I knew I needed to plan things to stay busy/sane and I thought I would share the things I made.

First are the OKC Thunder shirts, what what! Brian tried to talk me out of it saying his mother could go buy some and bring them up, I however, had waited long enough. It was past time to represent! I am extremely pleased with how they turned out. My apologies if there is a copyright breech here.

Next was some decor for my favorite holiday. I realized this week that the 4th of July is soon approaching and I didn't have a single sign of it in our home. This should not be, especially since my in-laws and friends will be celebrating with us. The only issue is (as my mother put it so nicely) "isn't excess your new thing?". Lol. So spending big bucks on decor was out of the question. I want my home to be nice and patriotic and here are my cheap solutions.

I made this "flag canvas" thing. I am pleased with it too. Just a canvas with painters tape, red paint, and spray painted house numbers. Thank you pinterest.

Next we have the wreath makeover. I think I originally made this when I was Prego with Benny but I am not sure. I love wreaths and thankfully I thought of this update. I am pleased here too.

I guess that is all really. I put some of the boys' blocks in milk jugs I got at a garage sale and some flowers from
the thrift store to finish off my book shelf.

I guess the true test will be when the fisherman returns home. Poor guy has lost faith in my crazy ideas.

Happy fathers day.

PS. Aren't those boys cute?
