Meet our little Benny. Or as we call him Benners, Ben tin tin, or my personal favorite Benny Boo boo boo boo ("how to lose a guy in 10 days" anyone?). Lol. He is not going to like that one when he is older, unless it is
Actually Kate Hudson calling him that.
I thought I should post a bit on our
Little man as he is ever changing. Last night (while Brian was fishing) I watched an episode or two of ABC's "Switched at Birth". I don't think it could happen in our family, or at least I know it hasn't yet. It is ridiculous how much he resembles his brothers.
We are really enjoying having a baby. I can't believe I am saying that, but it is true. It takes a while in parenthood to learn to appreciate the process, at least for us. For a while there we were so deep in diapers, we couldn't see past potty training, but as Baker has grown we can see the end goal and how important character shaping is.
Benton is 7 months old now. He can finally roll over, sit up, and rock on his hands and knees or feet. I won't claim that he is the happiest baby on the block, but his mood has seemed to improve over the last 2 weeks. We don't know if it is bc he has 2 teeth now or what. He loves his big brothers and they love him too. Some of my favorite times are around the table with Benny in his high chair and the boys are all playing with each other, taking turns making one another laugh. It is great. He has finally started eating baby food, Praise the Lord. For 2 weeks he would shut his mouth at the spoon and turn his head. That put fear in us that he may resemble a certain other brother that may or may not be harder to handle than the other. He does have a will but it's not as strong as I feared
It might be.
He takes great naps and falls asleep on his own. Again, I won't say he is a great night time sleeper but he will get there. When he wakes in the mornings he just talks to himself. Talks and talks and talks.
He differs from his brothers in that he doesn't take a passy! Aaaaaaahhhhhh! Oh well. He also doesn't drool non stop like they did. Woo hoo. He loves people and is very good with his hands.
Overall, we are smitten by him. Children bring so much delight into the world and I am very thankful for my three boys. I love them do very much!
He is a beauty. Two of the pics are with my college friends. Then of course I had to include one of his least favorite activity- riding in the canoe.
