The new normal
Thought I should update a post on life at home. Well, its great. We love home (ND home). I am an extremly social gal (as they say up here-instead of girl) and this is the first time.... in a long time where I have been home ALL day, EVERY day. Surprisingly it is quite nice. I have way more time to do things around the house and you know- SHOWER! I also have so much more patience with the boys b/c we simply are never in a hurry b/c there is just no agenda. Mondays used to be for the grocery store, Tuesdays for play dates, every other Wed for Bible study, and Fridays for play dates. That is a lot of going! I was concerned that the boys would be sick of staying home, but they aren't. Each day the boys get older I become more and more thankful that Beau came along when he did. I imagine life wouldn't be nearly as easy if I had to entertain a 3yr old all day. Those boys love each other and they play and play and play.
Here is the boy nursery. It was second on my agenda, right after the Christmas decorations were up. We had fun creating this space. It is our first time to bring a child home to a nursery. Baker was in the living room and Beau was in a closet. I have to say though that our sacrifice back then paid off tremendously. Our cheap rent/mortgage paved the way so we could be successful now. This is only 1/2 the room, I will post more later.

Benton is doing well. He is up to 6lbs6oz as of yesterday. Everything looks good. It is not easy getting up at night every 3 hours. It is down right hard, but you gotta do it. I know it could be way worse. Right now he just eats and sleeps, so that is nice. He does like to be held. He has a hard time getting comfy in his bed sometimes.
This is our first pic at home of the 5 of us. We are still shocked sometimes that we had a 3rd child and Brian is still shocked that he is a boy. Overall life is good. We are enjoying our new normal. Winter is here and it is so cold, so cold! Oh well. We have lots of family coming up soon and we are so excited, the boys ask every day when Sarah is going to be here and who is coming next.
Hope you are enjoying the Christmas season. We are trying to drink it up! I will post more on that later. Merry Christmas!
